Georgetown Debate Spent Thanksgiving in Doha, Qatar!

During the week of Thanksgiving, Georgetown Debaters and coaches traveled to Doha, Qatar to visit the Georgetown-Qatar campus and engage in Debate Week. Debate Week consisted of three public exhibition debates with over 100 attendees per debate, as well as a series of panels and collaborative activities between main campus and GU-Q students and staff.

In addition to debates and panels, Georgetown Debate was also able to explore Doha! We visited museums, city centers, cultural landmarks, shopping malls, world-class restaurants, and the various universities located in Education City.

We are incredibly thankful to GU-Qatar for organizing the trip and for allowing us the opportunity to collaborate and debate over important topics. This is sure to be the start of a lasting partnership between debate programs on both campuses and we look forward to future programming!
