Georgetown Sets Record at Public Debate Tournament

Victor Li (C ’20) and Jong Hak Won (SFS ’21) competed at the prestigious Madison Cup tournament at James Madison University on April 18th, 2019. They qualified to the Finals as the top seed of the tournament, receiving the highest scores ever recorded in the tournament’s nineteen-year history.

The Madison Cup is a public debate tournament designed in the spirit of James Madison’s belief in the importance of informed debate to the health of a democracy. You can read more about the tournament here.
